I understand most Cracker Barrels allow overnight parking......as always I'd recommend a call to the store manager to confirm

I just pull into a campground and enjoy the power and water.

Pilot / Flying J allows overnight parking, in RV spots, not with the trucks.

Just find a spot up front, away from the car gas pumps.

Try the app RV Parky - lots of filters to fine tune your GPS search.

I parked overnight in the big truck spots before. Is that really a no no?

I currently work for a Trucking Co. and we experience a fair share of damage events to our trucks while parked in Pilot Truck stops amongst others. Many Pilots T/S's are smaller than average and lighting can be marginal at best, lending itself to an accident waiting to happen. Often the other Driver either doesn't realize he/she hit our truck or purposely leaves before we can gather Insurance information, placing the burden and cost of the repair on us.
I have NEVER parked in the T/S between two trucks with the Coach, I will find another spot somewhere else if need be.
As an aside, I am a CDL holder and Truck Driver for 22 years, and would try to minimize my use of Pilot T/S's for overnight stops along my routes.

You are taking a spot that an OTR trucker might need, so yeah, generally a no no if you can possibly avoid it. Those guys are doing this as their job, and if you take a spot that may cause a problem if their drive time dictates they stop and rest.

You also have the option to stay at a campground. They don't. Park in the RV parking section.

Wally is the best & most used but we have done Cracker Barrel, Cabellas, Bass, & would not hesitate to ask at Lowes or Home Depot. Never done a truck stop. Rumbling diesels would get to me.

Why...last time I checked, I buy fuel at the truck pumps. I have never had a negative from a trucker at the pumps or in the parking lot.

That said, they are noisy. There is coming and going at all times. I look at the satellite of the truck stop. If it is large and there are out of the way places, why not.

You folks probably also say we shouldn’t stay overnight in the oversized areas of rest stops. Bunk!

I travel along the East coast.

All of the truck stops are full, almost all of the time. They can't build them fast enough.

As far as rest areas, the trucks fill them and the sholders on the approach and departure lanes.

I'll stay in the truck stop RV spots or Walmart, lots of room.
