Hi,
I am trying to find the best rv resort around Pigeon Forge to take the whole family on vacation. What are your favorites? Thanks in advance.

Will you have a toad or depend on local trolleys?
We found the KOA is nice and close enough to walk to many sites but Pigeon Forge is stretched out many miles. Consider what you want to see when there and plan accordingly.
Sorry, not much help but enjoy your time.

Anchor Down is the premier campground around there, but tough to get reservations.

Most of the campgrounds in the area are good. I’ve read many good reviews on Anchors Down but have not been there. It is located a few miles away from town. We usually stay at River Plantation. KOA is in the heart of Pigeon Forge but not high on my list.

We were there in March, it's beautiful and managed really well. We had a patio/fireplace site up top overlooking the campground and lake. Definitely going back. As mentioned you have to book sites in advance, but their website makes choosing and reserving one fairly easy.

We have been in Pigeon Forge a 1/2 dozen times in the last 5 years. Generally with just myself and the wife we go to River Plantation.
But when we take our grandkids it was to Clabough's Campground.

Hi,
There is at least one new CG open along Veterans Pkwy. Good location for all the local activities. Depends on what you want. Anchor Down is nice but way out of the way, but on a lake. River Plantation is nice both have onsite amenities. Look them up and see what suites you.

We’ve been there numerous times and all in all we like the KOA the best. As a matter of fact we have reservations there starting August 26!
