Best detour ever!

We decided to take a different route to our next destination because of the recent flooding in Utah and Nevada. Boy, am I glad we did! Ended up near Bryce Canyon and spent the day there. Wow... Like another world!

Here's my entire album if you are interested.

I know that geological time passes very slowly, Bryce is a fascinating spot and it's good to see that it has retained it's beauty.

I accuse you of stealing my snap shots , but being from 1990 they weren't digital, got to swing back through on my way to 4 Corners, while I'm still in good enough shape to do the hiking.

Yes, it's like a fairy wonderland and so different from the other well-known canyons. Hiking down in the canyon is awesome when you're able to weave in and out of the hoodoos. Glad you had that detour!

Try Zion also, from quick erosion to very slow as. Soft earth to very hard. only a little over an hour away from Bryce. Oh and you did steal my pictures also. Was the Raven at the stop south of the south rim still there demanding to be fed?

Good idea Skip! My 35mm slides from Bryce and Zion are circa 1978. I was thinking of digitiging them but I think I'll go back and take new pics!

Great pics TXun..that area along with Monument valley and everything in between is truely a natural wonder.
