Best Route to see Southern Utah National Parks
With a little help from my fellow rv’s. I’d like to plan a route to go see the NP ( Arches, Bryce, Zion and any other suggestions) in southern Utah, I’ll be driving down from Washington State with wife in our DP a Monaco Cayman “05” 32BD w/toad, what’s to route to avoided and best camp sites.

It depends on how you like to travel. Do you camp or do you sightsee and travel? We like to be comfortable and so our recommendations aren’t really going to give you that camping experience. These are RV parks with amenities.
For Zion, we like Zion River Resort. It’s outside the park, very nice sites, some on the river. For Bryce, while we have some reservations about the experience. Ruby’s is closest to the park entrance with a shuttle stop. It’s a bit of a gravel parking lot in the newer section, but it’s certainly the closest to the park without being inside the park.
Arches and Canyonlands are close to each other. We like The Portal in Moab. It’s on the side of town that the parks are on so you don’t need to drive through town to get to the parks, and Moab can be really crowded especially in the spring. That area is hot in the summer.

Well... to get to southern Utah is up to you. There are tons of routes to take depending if and where you want to explore along the way and how much time you have for the trip.
As to where to stay in the parks - we always felt the best experience is had by staying in the parks themselves.
The parks I'd recommend in order are Grand Canyon NP (South Rim if you've never been there; North Rim if repeat - it's less congested and cooler temps for summer but there isn't as much to do like on the South Rim).
Then head to Zion NP, Bryce NP, Capitol Reef and finally to Moab to check out Arches NP and Canyonlands NP. You could also work in Monument Valley although it's not a national park but instead, a Tribal park. All are worthwhile.
So... once you get to Las Vegas take 93 to I-40 east for Grand Canyon South Rim. Exit via the park road (Hwy 64 east) to Hwy 89. Go north to Page, AZ (Lake Powell Nat'l Rec Area) and continue to Kanab, UT. For Zion you can either take 89 north and Hwy 9 through the tunnels (read on the national park's web site for restrictions but with your RV you'll fit)... OR from Kanab, Ut take 89 south a little ways to Fredonia, AZ then take AZ 389 west which becomes UT 59 to Hurricane, UT then Hwy 9 east to Zion. This is an easier drive for a lot of people rather than the tunnels.
From Zion (if no tunnels) backtrack on Hwy 9 west to I-15 north and take Hwy 20 at Circleville over to Hwy 89 near Panguitch, UT. (Don't be tempted to take Hwy 14 at Cedar City & I-15. You definitely won't like Hwy 14 to take you to 89... very steep.
Just beyond Panguitch, UT take Hwy 12 east to Bryce and on to Capitol Reef at Torrey, UT.
From Torrey take 24 east to I-70 near Green River, UT and on to Moab, UT.
For Monument Valley from Moab take 191 south to 163. Monument Valley is at the border of Utah/Arizona.
You could reverse this trip, also.
Have a good one!

Welcome to iRV2.
We summer in Pasco and on Lake Roosevelt near Ft Spokane, winter in the RGV.
We have visited all of the Utah and AZ parks many times. Went back to Cap. Reef this year along with Goose Neck SP. Drove the toad Up and Down the Moki Dugway.
A nice BLM campground in Moab is Ken's Lake south of town. We stayed at Thousand Lake at Cap. Reef.

The state of Utah has a great website for trip planning. See visitutah.com, and look for both”the mighty five” and “road to the mighty five”. The latter covers some of the wonderful state areas near the national parks.

On the following link are all National Parks in Utah.
Here you can call the NP service to request more detailed information on each park. You can read more detail in the link here about each.
https://www.nps.gov/state/ut/index.htm
Next is a map from Maps.Google.com from Washington State through Utah and some National Parks.
Now I did add a few and you may or may not be interested in Yellowstone NP on top as that would save you some time and miles. You can move the lines as you wish, but I gave you NP next NP tour. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Wash...38.5710444!3e0

Here is a link but more of what you asked for without Yellowstone NP. Just from Washington down to Southern UT. So once the Maps. Google opens then click right of the name to add or remove.
Enjoy your Road trip Safe and enjoyable travels.
