Birmingham RV Park

Ok, taking 4 guys to Birmingham to play some golf on 3/5 and 3/6. We were planning on staying in the RV at the courses but they don't allow this. Anyone have any suggested locations on the north side of Birmingham to either boondoc or an RV park to stay? Thanks in advance. Tom

We have stayed at Birmingham South Campground twice and the amenities were good and the park clean and the people friendly....sorry only stayed on the south.

Tom there is a nice RV Park in Hoover on I-459 just west of Birmingham. It is not north but it puts you very close to the main arteries. The park is municipally owned and operated so it is very well kept.

Hoover RV Park, 100 Ben Chapman Dr, Hoover, AL adjacent to the Regions Park Stadium.

Enjoy your golf.

Not sure where in Birmingham you want to stay but you may want to try Tannehill State Park in McCalla. Lots of history and close to 459.

As I recall, Birmingham has an ordinance prohibiting overnight parking in places like Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot. No tax revenue you understand.

I stayed at Birmingham South Campground when I first came to Birmingham. Really nice park and good folks. Very close to the Interstate, so it's easy to get to Birmingham attractions. Right behind a Home Depot and near several restaraunts. Close to Ballantrae and Timberline Golf Courses. Around 30 minutes to Ross Bridge with traffic. Also try Oak Mountain State Park. It's North of Birmingham South campground but further off the Interstate. If you are looking for something West of Bham, try Tannehill State Park off I-20\59. If you need more info on Bham, let me know. Hope this is helpful.

There really isn't anything on the northside of Birmingham unless you want to go way north. Birmingham South and Hoover RV Park are probably your best bet for what your looking for. Oak Mountain is probably a little out of the way.

I live in Birmingham and have not heard that before. The area WalMarts are not on the NOP (No Overnight Parking) list kept up by the WalmartRVing Yahoo group. Hoover is the exception, that WalMart is on the NOP list.
