Bob Shetler Rec Area, Saylorville Lake, Ia
Going to the GNR in Forest City from Grand Junction. Planning to spend our last night before arrival at Bob Shetler Rec Area. Has anyone been there? Can you give any advice?
Thanks for your help, Lynn

Can't speak to the Bob Shelter area but we spent several days at Cherry Glen, just north and east from there the first few days of June, 2016. Water and electric, plenty of room and shade. Would definitely go back if it works into future travel plans.
You can check site availability and make reservations and payment on line.

No not Bob Shetler, use Cherry Glenn, Prairie View or Acorn Valley on the west side of the lake. Bob Shetler is below the dam and not my cup of tea but some people like it.
I like Acorn, it's walkup only and a none alcohol park.

We use Prairie Flower CG, BLAZ Loop at Saylorville Lake although CONE Loop is nice also. B Loop has the paved roads, concrete pads, concrete patios and a lot of long, level sites. The sites are large and a lot of room between them. C Loop has better views of the lake but it's hard to get a reservation there as it's usually full.

Here's site Prairie Flower, BLAZ 46 and it's open for that date for reservation.

You're welcome. As someone else mentioned, Cherry Glen CG at Saylorville is also very nice and very popular. It's more shaded, however the pads and patio are gravel and the sites are not quite as level as in Prairie Flower. The sites are also closer together somewhat.
Whichever one you end up in, I'm sure that you'll enjoy it! I'm sure that you'll have a great time at GNR also!
A typical campsite in Cherry Glen CG, Saylorville Lake with our previous motorhome:
