Booking Sites

First time using this site but hoping to get some answers. I am wondering if there are any websites/apps where you can search for a site in an area by putting in dates to see what’s available instead searching each campground website. Like hotels.com does. Thank you

I use that too but don’t see where you can put in your dates and it tells you what’s available.

You pretty much have to go to each campgrounds website to find available dates.
Even chain campgrounds like KOA's are independantly owned.
Also, because spots are reserved sometimes months in advance, and then cancelled, it would be impossible to have an up to date database of available sites, or what is or may become available.

I use campgroundreviews.com to find sites but you still have to call each one for a reservation or book on line on their website. I did read somewhere that several companies like REI are trying to set up a nationwide reservation site for State Parks and National Parks which if it happens may include private camp grounds too.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I don't know any site that has that capability, but it sure would be nice!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Recreation.gov app allows you to insert dates and area then make reservations for individual sites. Most have pictures and good site information. We have used this app many times. It is only federal parks I believe.

I believe I've read that Reserve America and Recreation.gov will let you do that. We don't make reservations so don't know for sure.
