We would love to spend a few nights in the Taos area in our truck camper. I see there's currently a wildfire burning and I also see that many of the public campsites are closed already, or they are closed due to COVID. We are self-sufficient and do not need any hookups.

Bob, the channel owner, does a nice job demonstrating how to determine if specific dispersed camping areas are open or not. That said, I've noted some folks commenting that the Feds are delegating final BLM open/close authority to local folks (county/municipality) for final word.
