Tony, that is simply an amazing group of photos on your Picasa website. You have certainly set the benchmark for boonedocking photos.

Cool thread OP. Here are some opposites for you: some real Sonoran desert near Kearny AZ and in Scottsdale near the upscale Princess Hotel.

Here was my first ever boondocking site near Showlow AZ near the start of the Maverick OHV trail.

This is in Taylor Reservoir Park in Colorado, a spectacular place

Alaska is definitely on my bucket list. Here's a place I bet nobody here has ever heard of. This is at Lovewell Lake in Kansas.

And boondocking with a few neighbors at the Glamis dunes

Sawtooth Mtns.

From a "mixed" trip of some boondocking and some Forest Service CGs, one of my favorite areas Stanley, ID and Sawtooth Mountains. Summer of '12 in previous MH (Journey 32T).

Hey JeffAZ what were you doing at the Princess? It is a couple of miles from my house.

Pismo Beach, California. The best place to Boondock, cause on holidays they have a honey wagon to dump your tanks and a water truck to refill for extended stays.

Pismo is another of my hopeful future destinations. Thanks Bill for the photo.

Ya, M., that boondock in Scottsdale was pretty funny. I am spoiled because my commute to work is 3 miles, with the sun at my back both directions. I attended a 3 day conference a couples times before at the Princess Resort and hated the commute from the west valley where I live. It's about 50 miles, rush hour traffic and sun in your face for both directions. And by the time I arrive I'm usually late for the great breakfasts they serve and in a bad mood. So when I got my moho 2 years ago and was signed up for another conference there, I figured why not just take the moho and stay there? I asked the venue a few weeks ahead of time if it would be possible, and they promptly said no. That's what I thought they would say, afterall this is Scottsdale.
So I drove the moho anyway for the first day, and parked in their lot. I was planning to boondock in the empty State trust land just north across Princess Blvd from the resort. But they came up to me at lunch and said I could leave it in the lot for the conference, so that's what I did. In fact I've done that twice now and it's worked out great. It makes for a much easier experience for me.

Keep the photos coming people!

Is the Agua Fria area off I-17 at Table Mesa Rd? I've been looking at going there, but haven't been yet.

Here's a couple more urban boon docking photos. This looks like a nice isolated area, but it is really a WalMart in San Diego just north of Qualcom Stadium, where I attended the Holiday Bowl.

And here is where I urban boon docked in Tempe near Sun Devil Stadium last year, where I spent the night before Pat's Run (again I highly dislike that early morning commute to get there in time and park the morning of the race).

Augua Fria is East on Bloody Basin Road. Many miles of easy trails. Goes East to the Verde river or continue to Cave Creek. Petroglyphs, ruins and great views.

Here's a couple pics from Grandview OHV park near Grand Jct., CO. This place is even more desolate than any place I've seen in AZ. The second pic shows Mt. Garfield in the background.
