Boston Area Campgrounds

We're headed to Boston later this month and would like any recommendations on the best RV Campgrounds that have easy access to the City's metro system. (...And it looks like Normandy Farms have no availability during our dates there - other recommendations?) ...Thanks!

You can try Wompatuck State Park in Hingham on the So. Shore of Boston. 50A electric only sites with central water spigots and dump station. You can catch the ferry service from Hingham to downtown Boston, or catch the "T" as well. We've stayed there on multiple occasions visiting relatives and friends. It's a big (used to be an old Navy Supply Depot), quiet, no-frills SP/CG that we've liked staying at in the past. I think there is also a CG on the No. Shore (around Salem I think), but I have no knowledge of what it is like.

We just spent 2 weeks at Spacious Skies in Littleton. Enjoyed our stay. Nothing fancy but feels very secluded and woodsy. The non stop metro train runs to downtown boston from this area.

Wompatuck and Normandy are the only 2 that are close to Boston. Circle G in Bellingham isn’t too far removed with easy access to 495. Wawaloom in RI is another option with easy access to Rt 6 and then 95/295. There’s a couple of other in RI that might work. To be honest the ride into Boston is a lot easier and so is train access from the south. Stations and parking aren’t nearly as crowded compared to western and northern MA.

In October we are staying at two campgrounds north of the city. We're spending a week at Harold Parker SP and a few days at Winter Island near salem.

Ditto on Wompatuck SP. An easy drive to the passenger ferry in Hingham for the short ride across the bay.
