I am attending a conference in Boston from July 31 thru Aug. 3. I would rather stay at a campground than at the hotel. What campgrounds are in the Boston area?

Hey Rick.
There is always my favorite Normandy Farms, which is app. 1/2 hour away from central Boston. There is Minuteman (KOA?) not sure, never been, but I guess its cheaper than NF.

I'll second Normandy Farms, although there are several campgrounds within a half hour drive from downtown.

Thanks - I'll check it out. Last time we were there we stayed at the Boston Hub KOA. I see references on the web to Boston Hub Campground but it is no longer shown as a KOA. Can't find any info about it. We enjoyed our stay there.

If I stay at Normandy Farms what is the best way to get into town each day for the conference meetings. Should I drive or take public transit in some form?

It's at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.

There is a train station in Dedham, about 10-15 minutes away, take you right to south station. From there you can hop a cab or subway.Driving in is what I would do and park at the Sheriton. If you choose to stay at NF,make rezies now.BTW the koa is still open, they just are not a koa anymore, same phone#

Rick... There are several commuter rail stations near Normandy Farms. Probably the closest is in Mansfield but there are also stations in Sharon and Attleboro, neither of which are far from Foxboro. I think you'll find it a convenient place.
Maybe I can take a ride up and visit with you at Normandy Farms and show you around a bit?

Just got my reservation confirmation for Normandy Farms. We'll be in site # 1007, arriving July 30 and departing on Aug. 4.

So, now that I have my reservations made, what is the best way to get from Lancaster to Boston while towing a 35' trailer?

84 to 90/mass pike to 495 to rte 1 north.NF is about 5-10 minute up rte 1.You will see gillette stadium signs, that is a little further north. How you get to 84 is your call.It is more direct, but some traffic in Hartford, depending on what time you go thru.Ask for Lisa in the office and tell her your a freind of mine. The Noreasters had a rally there last year.I go there a lot also.Let me know ,if you need other quesions answered.
