Diamond Caverns (TT franchise) would be the closest & also inside the Nat'l Park area so I'd recommend a trip the to Caves while you're there too.

The factory tour is really cool but requires reservations. The museum is fun too. We stayed near Mamoth Cave.

If you have time, go across the interstate to the new race track NCM Motorsports Park - Bowling Green, Kentucky |

Checked in..staff was very helpful. They expected bad weather and told us right away and where closest bath house was for shelter. We only received a small amount of hail.

The stay has been great. The racetrack did not have anything going on. Some of the guys staying here are building a new "paint" building at GM and have shared some great stories about my fellow Vette enthusiasts. Motorcycle riding has been nice and there is an Amish community close by ( drive slow, enjoy the scenery and respect their privacy) and off to some great ice cream at a local dairy farm.

Nolin Lake State Park

Went to the Corvette museum in recent years (3 weeks before the floor fell in and swallowed all those vettes.... broke my heart) We stayed north of Mammoth Cave at Nolin Lake State Park... it was great. good access to Mammoth Cave national park to the south, great sites, pretty lake, easy access for large rigs. Only an hour away from Bowling Green. Enjoy!
