Last time we were there a waiter took me down to the arena, where I represented the South, pitching commercial toilet seats with the open front, in a game of "horseshoes" with a representative from the North.

Check out yogi Bear campground. It's a little ways out of town but if you have kids its the way to go.

Dolly Pardon's "Dixie Stampede". The Baldknobbers is a GREAT show.
We've been staying at Cooper Creek Campground for the past 14 years. They even have cabins for rent. They offered to put my boat in the water for me since I was pulling it with the MH. I declined though, my son-in-law & daughter were on their way with the pickup.
At Cooper Creek, you can rent fishing boats for trout fishing on Tannycomo. We took my boat up to Branson Landing (Bass Pro) for supper one evening.
Aw well, I could go on a long time about Branson. Love the place.

That place sounds great malexander! Are they friendly to bigger rigs? We, by then, hopefully will have a bigger 5er.

They have lots of pull-thru sites too.

Indy Glenn,
Thanks for the pointer to the campground review site. Very helpful.

We are in Branson twice a year. Best times to visit are spring and fall. Traffic on 76 can be discouraging but get a map and learn the alternate routes. KOA might be a good choice of CG for your size of rig but there are a number of good CG to choose from.
Best place for lunch is the Bradford Inn out near Silver Dollar City and best place for dinner is at the College of the Ozarks Keeter Center dining room (this is a don't miss). Another great place for dinner out is at the "Top of the Rock" which is about 5 miles south of Branson (costs you $10/person to get in but it's deducted from any purchases). Best shows IMHO is the Hughes Brothers, the Million Dollar Quartet (if it's still playing), the Presley's, and others.

Try Branson Lakeside RV Park - We stayed there back in early 2015. Convient but out of the way.

We stayed at the Municipal (City) campground. Right on the River, next to Bass Pro .
Very Clean! Very Handy(walkable) to that Central Area. We would go back.

We stayed at Ozark Country RV Park, a few miles from the main road in Branson. It is a Passport America and therefore a great rate. It is top rated on campgroundreviews.com. There a lot of choices as noted in the previous posts. We chose this one and were very happy there.
They also have a guy that sells show tickets at food prices. He delivers them to you in the RV Park or has them at will call for you.
As far as shows, there a lot of great ones. We saw about 6 shows in 7 days there.
We liked Texas Tenors, Doug Gabriel, Shoji Tabuchi, Haygoods, Six, and Lettermen. We also saw Smoke on the Mountain in a small theatre which we enjoyed a lot.
The great thing about Branson is all the shows are appropriate for all ages. Would not hesitate to take any age family members to the shows.
