Bryce Caynon report - better late than better.

We made a trip end of May 2014 to Bryce Canyon, Utah.

Stayed at the Ruby Inn RV park. Very nice clean park with easy access with most sites large pull thur sites. Lots of room that you were not camped on your RV neighbors.

Lots of outdoor actives to do from bikes to hiking. Because of the elevation
in the end of May it was still getting below freezing. So for those flatlanders who are not use to this be prepared. The days were warm in the mid 70's or 80's.

The views were just amazing to see. Worth the visit for a few days.

There are shuttles that you can take if you don't want to make the drive and hunt for parking spots. Every lookout is spectacular too. There are a number of different hiking trails but if you don't want to use your own shoes, you can take one of the trail rides into the canyon. It's a different world down there!

We stayed at Ruby Inn, no complaints. Highly recommend the mule rides into canyon, our whole family did it, was a great time. Think there were 2 to choose from, we took the longer one, 4 hours I think. Great time and great way to see the park.

IIRC, there's really only one road (12) that runs though the park. Some pull offs are better than others and the time of day(lighting)can have dramatic effects on the red, orange and white colors of the 'structures'. There's also a Mormon homestead (1850's) off 63 that was interesting. 63 goes past the homestead (small fee) which we did not take and have since heard it's worth the price of admission.

Hoodoos love ya, baby! Sorry for the 'Kojak' reference.

Edit: Did not know about the tours...thanks.

We thought Bryce was the highlight of our last trip out West. It is truly a spectacular place to see.

Ditto on Ruby Inn campground. Easy on/off shuttle service to sights. Awesome views!

It was our second trip there and we promised ourselves to take a pic this time. It was at daybreak and Tallulah ran out to get it. Someone had to man the ship .
