CA 89 from South Lake Tahoe

Anyone with a MH and car in tow traveled from So Lake Tahoe over to I80?? Will be up there early July

Yes I've gone from South Lake Tahoe on 89 north into Truckee. I'm assuming you mean the west side of the lake.

Beautiful drive, however you will be going slow on occasions for sure.

Don’t mind slow if it’s traffic related or meandering. Assuming nothing to worry about with MH and toad.

There is one sharp turn as I remember but certainly Ok for motorhome.

Where are you headed after you hit I 80?

There’s a couple very tight switchbacks before Emerald Bay. I wouldn’t do it on a weekend in July or August. Lots of traffic and cars parked alongside the road. The east side of the lake isn’t much better, but it is better.

as mentioned the section of road between emerald bay and cascade lake may give you the heebee jeebees in a MH, the eastside easier but longer. beautiful drive anyway you go.
