California Hwy 20 - Grass Valley to Marysville

Anybody know if this highway is safe for a 35' RV? Good Sam map book doesn't show it as a recommended route.

It is basically a curvy two lane rd. There is a Thousand Trails campground to which 20 is the access from Marysville and Grass Valley. There are allways a lot of big rigs there. I came in from Marysville and know you would not have a problem on that half. Don't think there would be a problem from the Grass Valley side. drriven it in a car but it has been a few years just curves and a few hills.

While I have a Class B, I see way bigger class A’s all the time on 20. You’ll be heading downhill. Go for it.

20 is fine but do not attempt the more scenic 49 out of Grass Valley.

You will be fine. It is a good stretch of road, well maintained, a little curvy but not bad at all.

In the last 10 years they have really improved this road. I regularly travel it with my 43’ coach and toad.
