California-renting an RV

We are considering a trip to San Francisco, Yosemite and Sequoia National parks. It is too far to drive our 5th wheel so we wonder about renting an RV out there. We can spend 10-14 days out there. Any suggestions about renting and ideal itinerary? There will be my husband and I and our 2 adult daughters.

RV America and El Monte are large national rental outfit.

For individuals renting you might check Craigslist local to your in area arrive/departure point.

When we were researching RVs, we rented one for a while to see if we would like it as much as we hoped. We looked at the biggies (El Monte and Cruise America) and they mostly rent pretty small units. We ended up renting a 30 foot class A from Road Bear and were very happy with the coach and the experience. Road Bear buys new coaches every year, rents them for a season, and sells them. A large part of their clientele is Europeans, who come over, rent an RV and tour the west. We drove from southern CA to Las Vegas and picked one up there, because we were going to tour around southern Utah, but they have offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco in CA. There's also Cruise America. Of the rental units we saw the most on our Yellowstone trip, most were from Cruise America and El Monte RV.
