Camp Location Planning

What’s the word on the street….best app to help with your travel plans.
We have been using RV Parky the last couple of years, works but sometimes we are forced to travel further than would like for simple overnight camp.
We travel from NC to Texas two or three times a year.
Florida one or two times a year.
Looking for more options.

I'm not sure what you mean..... Why does going farther need help?

There are campground review sites available. Just plug in a town to see what's around there.

Another vote for RV Trip Wizard (RV Life). The smartphone app isn't much, at least the last time I tried it about a year ago. But the web based planner is awesome. They should pay me for recommending this - but I gladly pay them their fee to use it.

I second this. I also use the campground reviews part of the app, and I use the Campendium web site.
Thanks,

To find places to go/stay, I use RV Trip Wizard, Campendium, The Dyrt, Google Maps, BLM/NFS websites, etc.

To route plan to the stops, then I use only RV Trip Wizard

Then to actually drive, I mimic the RV Trip Wizard route in Google Maps.

Are you able to import from RVTW into Google Maps?

Not in any usable fashion unfortunately. They support export but its not convenient to use at all. So I just manually enter the start and destination each day and add way points along the way until the routes match as needed. Since my Android phone can "lock open" the app, it never stops running even if I go to another app or lock the screen or "close all" so the route stays unless I "go back" while in Google Maps itself, but even then its only back to the waypoints page and just click Start again.
