We stayed at Absaroka Bay RV Park the couple of times we were there. Nice and roomy and a great place for an overnight stay.

We stayed at the KOA. It was a little out of Cody and quiet and had trees. We were there Mid May last year. It was still freezing and the park was just getting ready for the season. It was very nice and they have a free Rodeo shuttle bus!
We stayed extra days in Cody ! Its a great Place !!

We also stayed at the KOA. Had a concrete patio with 4 Chairs, Umbrella,Outdoor Grill, 50 amp and internet hookup. Highly recommend.
(P.S. We were there for my aunts 100th Birthday at the family ranch. This year she will be 102 and still sharp as a tack.) Should you plan on visiting the Cody Museum, allow 2 days.
Enjoy

We stayed 3 days at the Ponderosa Campground which is located just a couple of block from the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. While it is located right on the main highway, you'd never know it. It was very quiet and they have lots of amenities. Contact them at codyrvparks@wavecom.net, 307)587-9203.
We were there over the 4th of July, 2003 and enjoyed the rodeo, also. And, the Dairy Queen is an easy 1 block walk on your way to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.

We get to Cody about once a year and have stayed at all the mentioned campgrounds. Our favorite is the KOA, especially when we have one of the grandsons with us.
Also, the Buffalo Bill Museum is a must see if you enjoy the west. Plan a full day at the museum.

We stayed at the Yellowstone Valley Inn about 8 miles out of town towards Yellowstone Park. Passport America for 2 nights = $32

Check your Passport America book there used to be a campground halfway between Cody & Yellowstone.
Buy my post is really about the very best steak I ever ate. It is at the old whore house in Cody. I think the name started with an S like Stella/ You must eat there.
