Campground in Glenwood Springs, CO

Looking for a suggestion for a campground in Glenwood Springs area. We are camping with 2 children in a 35 foot Class A pusher. Scenery is more important than amenities. We can live without hookups. Thanks in advance.

We stayed at Elk Creek Campground (Elk Creek Campground, New castle, Colorado RV sites, Cabins, Tent sites, Mountain, River, Fly fishing, Cabins, Elk, Hunting, Colorado Rockies) in New Castle, CO a few years ago. It was a scenic campground. Some of the sites are tight due to trees. Just a few minutes from Glenwood Springs. I'd stay there again.

We enjoyed Bogan Flats Campground, White River Nat'l Forest. It's in a beautiful area along a stream with many places to explore. Here's a link:

I checked it out online and this spot looks great. Thank You. How are the roads leading to this spot from I70? Will I have any problems with a 35ft. MH with toad?

we stayed at the glenwood canyon resort a few years back. just east of GS, there's a bike/hike trail into town. our site had the back of the trailer overhang the river. pretty peaceful but you do have the occasional freight train rumbling by across the river.

You won't have any problems - it's all paved. Our 40' did just fine! Enjoy...
