Campground near Lancaster, Pa

I am interested in a nice campground near Lancaster,Pa that has pull thru sites for 38' Motorhome with four slides. Back in sites are ok if there is adequate space to enter and park tow vehicle. I enjoy this area and would like to know about your favorite campground. Thanks

We stayed in Gordonville at Country Acres Campground. I thought it was nice and easy to visit Amish lands from there. Don't forget the Train Museum in Strasburg.

And just south of Strasburg on Rt 896/Georgetown Road, on your left as you drive south, is a small bakery - Michael's or Michelle's if I remember correctly. The BEST raisin/cinnamon/ sticky buns you could ever ask for.

We are heading to Pinch Pond Family Campgrounds in Manheim, which is in Lancaster County. We haven't been there before, but will let you know Friday how it is.

Franka548,

This campground is in the north end of the county, depending on traffic, about 30 minutes from the tourist area on the east side of the county.

However, your are close to Hershey. If you are there on Tuesday, get directions to Root's Farmers Market just south of Manheim, plenty of fresh vegetables, fruit, and butchers as well as a flea market.

Hi Frank!

We have stayed at Pinch Pond, nice place. Enjoyed it.

All, whenever we visit that area, we hit "Good and Plenty", a fun dinning event. (eat with a 1,000 of your close friends)

L.

PS and visit the green dragon on Friday, its a farmers market and flea market combined.

Hi Lloyd,
Thanks for the tip, we will be there a week, so we will have to hit that place, we are always looking for new places to eat. Glad to hear that Pinch Pond is a nice place.
