I am aware of Newport Dunes...over $100 per night. Is there anything else up or down the coast that is nice, but more affordable that anyone can recommend??

bolsa Chica State Beach is busy but might snag a site there. Don't know how many days you want. Weekends are tough this time of year. Try

Traveler's World in Anaheim was shut down and they have not been able to get the permits to build condos, etc, so they were to reopen the first of the month for big rigs. See if you can raise them on the phone. http://tinyurl.com/3xwsnc

Also Huntington Beach downtown has some sites with electric and water but they are pretty pricy. http://tinyurl.com/346l4s

Also downtown Long Beach has first class park now. http://www.goldenshorerv.com/reservations.htm

Bolsa Chica State Beach, Huntington Beach, has some hook-up sites. But, unless you can grab a 1st come/1st Serve opening, you probably have to reserve on the "on-sale" date, 7 months in advance.
