Campground Suggestions in Florida

We are going to the Keys in January and then work our way back up via Ft Myers, Tampa and then over to Daytona area. Any suggestions for campgrounds? Have 40 ft rig. Thanks

Don't have any recommendations on RV places but I would suspect that during Jan, Feb, Mar you will have a little trouble finding places to stay without reservations because that is high snow bird season.

wwalpole:

One place to consider is the Wilderness RV Resort immediately East of Silver Springs on Hwy. 40 between Ocala/Silver Springs and Daytona Beach. On the portion of your trip from Tampa area TO Daytona, consider running up I-75 to Ocala and taking Hwy. 40 East to Daytona since ya won't have to deal with the cross state I-4 mess especially through Orlando. The Silver Springs area is phenomenal, "old Florida", and if ya polk around a little you'll likely fall in love with this area. Visit Silver Springs Park in Silver Springs. Visit Micanopy just N. of Ocala on 441. Visit DeLeon Springs just WSW of Daytona, and ALL is only an hour our of Daytona/Ormond Beach on the East Coast. Think about it anyway....don't think you'll be disappointed.
