Campgrounds near St. Louis/St. Charles, MO

I need suggestions for Campgrounds near St. Charles/ St. Louis, MO in mid-October. Also, we'll be looking for campgrounds in the Big Springs are, near Van Buren, MO. If nothing near Van Buren, please give suggestions near Poplar Bluff.
Thank you.

If you want to stay in St Charles, I would stay at Sundermeier.

If you are near Poplar Bluff, go to lake Wappapello and stay at the Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds. They are very well maintained and have full hookups at most of the sites. I have a lake home in Wappapello and it is a very friendly place.
