Around mid-Dec. we are picking up our new motor home in Huntsville, AL. Before returning to TX to load the MH we want to stay in or around Huntsville for a week or so. Any suggestions of where to stay and what to see in the area?

You have Cullman Campground and Smith Lake Campground near exits 310 & 304 on I-65. You can find more using Trailer life of Woodalls. JG

I recommend Point Mallard Campground in Decatur.
It is close to Huntsville and I65 in case you need to make a return trip to the dealer. Best of luck with new rig.

My choice would be Monte Sano State Park. It's on the mountain on the east side of Huntsville. In Dec. you should be able to get a site with sewer.

Hi Shelia,
Go here to see some CG reviews. We have stayed at Swan Creek. For a short stay, I would return.

Thanks to every one for their suggestions. Our new Tiffin Phaeton 40' is being built now in AL. We are looking forward to all of our travels.

Shelia, I suspect you are dealing with Bankstons there in Huntsville. Take a look at all the campgrounds suggested and then double check with the Bankston people for their recomendation. Of course, you don't have to take their recommendation but it might be a plus in your selection.

Congrat's on the new coach.
