Camping close to Grant's Farm in St. Louis? Any ideas?

We are coming from the Kansas area toward St. Louis area and want to stop for a visit to Grant's Farm. Any ideas? Concerns or comments, please.

There is a campground listed with a Fenton address - I have never stayed there but it is fairly close to Grant Farm. Otherwise you might have to go out by Six Flags If you stay in Fenton, just take highway 141 to highway 30 and east on 30 for about 5 miles. Grants Farm would be on left right off 30. We lve in Fenton but are on the road right now.

I see there are a couple with a Fenton address. Belleville Mobile Home & RV Estates on Heritage CT & Covered Bridge RV Park on Covered Bridge Ct. Do you remember if either of them are the one you stayed in?

I have not stayed in them, I live in Fenton and know when they are located.

Thanks! I see a Jellystone Resort in Eureka, do you think that would be reasonable? We are in a 40' m/h with a tow vehicle.

There's also a KOA in Eureka near Jellystone. Also, Edmund Babler State Park is a beauty.

I have not stayed in Jellystone, but you should know it is on a hillside. I don't know if sites are level

The last time we were in St. Louis, and went to Grant's Farm, we stayed at the campground run by the casino in East St. Louis. Check out campgroundreviews.com in Illinois, not Missouri, it will come up. it is an excellent facility and only 12 miles to the farm.

If it is available take the tour with the Clydesdales in the barn area. One truly unique experience.

We have stayed at Jellystone a few times with our 27' TT. It is a small park on a large hill, and usually there are lots of kids (FYI). If I had a rig of your size, I would probably try the KOA in Eureka. We haven't stayed there but have heard good things about it. Either way, from Eureka you can get to Grants Farm in reasonable time.

Jellystone is a nice clean park but I would not recommend going there unless you are comfortable navigating your rig into and around tight spaces.

Read the reviews on campgroundreviews.com. Not so good for Jellystone. We stay at the KOA in Eureka. Not the best but better than "The Jelly".
