Camping in Vermont

We are planning a trip to eastern Vermont in early August and are looking for recommendations for a campground. We are considering Pine Valley KOA in White River Junction and Rest N Nest in East Thetford. Would anyone have any comments on either one or any other campground? Thanks in advance for your help.

Never been to Rest N Nest, but have been to Pine Valley many times. It is a great campground with a variety of sites. Owners are wonderful people and can answer any questions you have about the area. I think it is the best spot in the area and is nicely located to some great things to see/do.

Thanks for the reply, Neil. Pine Valley is my first choice because of the location. It has been many years since I have been in that area. Is there any outstanding must see areas or attractions that we shouldn't miss? Are you still able to hike along the Quechee Gorge?

We’ve stayed at both Rest N Nest and Pine Valley KOA. Our preference is the Pine Valley KOA and we stayed there this month. We agree with Neil, the owners are great and so is the staff.

Enjoy the area while you’re there…

Thanks again, Neil and George for your input. I made my reservations today at Pine Valley. Will be there Aug. 10.
