Camping near Chepatchet RI
We have a wedding to attend mid September in the town of Chepatchet, and we thought we would look into taking the camper for one last trip before putting her away. Not to mention it might actually be cheaper than a hotel. Anyone have any recommendations for campsites?
This one seems to be the best one I have found near by. Any input?

That looks like a good spot to try some day, but I would like to avoid a 45 min drive after a wedding. I'm getting too old for that.

There's a COE park in Thompson CT, not far from RI state line. Not sure about hookups. There's George Washington State Park in RI not far from Chepachet, maybe 10 mins.. Again, no hookups.
You may want to consider Wells in Sturbridge. Have you seen the reviews for Holiday Acres???
I would stay at Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, 45 mins away by 395. Normandy Farms in Foxboro, 45 mins away has full hookups etc....

I forgot, Ginny B campground in Foster would be a good choice. About 20-30 minutes from Chepachet. Would be an easy ride on route 6. You could get the breakfast buffet at Foster Country Club on Sunday morning too, easy walk from Ginny B.

Thanks for all the input, I can see I have some more places to look into. But first, let me explain the situation a bit more. We live in central CT, about an hour and a half from Chepatchet. We were originally going to get a hotel room for Saturday and Sunday night, but figured why not use the camper once more. We wont be spending much time at the camp ground, just using it as a place to park and sleep mostly. I suppose we could do with only electric hookup, I really don't want to bring the generator. That being said, we want something in close proximity to Chepatchet, these other places in CT or the casinos are nice, but kind of defeats the purpose of taking the camper in the first place.
So, no I haven't really seen many reviews on Holiday Acres, where is a good place to read reviews?
I will research Ginny B and George Washington state park, thanks for the suggestions.
Keep the help coming, thanks again

Just read some on line reviews about holiday acres, I think I will pass on that one. Thanks for the heads up.

I live in Glocester and the only decent campground with hookups is Ginny B, about 15 miles away that I can think of. I would stay clear of Holiday Acres!

Thanks Gladie, I have already eliminated Holiday Acres based on your advice. Ginny B looks pretty good, I'm going to check out Thompson as well.

Not at all familiar with Echo CG. There is also Bowdish Lake CG but I'm not familiar with that one either. Sorry I can't recommend either one. I've never heard negative comments for them. Fishermens is the only RI campground I stay at. RI doesn't offer much, sad to say.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately Echo doesn't have much info out there, just a friend of my girlfriend who said it was nice. I looked at Bowdish, but the reviews are mixed and the prices are quite high, $70 a night seems like a bit much to me. Going to try Echo now...
Thanks
