We camped on Interstate 40 east bound this last weekend (New years). We were stranded in the back up east of Albuquerque. 14 hours without moving. In 18 hours we moved 5 miles. We were lucky...in the MH. The state really botched up handling the stranded travelers. Troopers drove up and down the sparsely traveled west bound side, but never asked if anyone needed help. All went well though, the travelers pulled together to help out when we could. We were able to hand out water, feed a few people, and Patty even offered our restroom . The goodness of the human spirit was shining .

Its good that you were able to help some of the other stranded travelers. I am sure that this was a very stressful event for all.
Even stuck on an interstate, we are all lucky to have our Home with us. I can start the generator, fire up the satellite and watch the news.

WOW Tom and Patty,
you were quite fortunate to have had the Alpine with you. Great that you were able to help others out too.
Not exactly Fresno weather!!
