There are 2 camp grounds in Pompano beach, I would look for camp grounds in the Fort Lauderdale area. Highland Hills had a brake in and the RV owner was killed, this happen just a few weeks back. A few miles north is Hope Sound there is a nice state park there.

Space coast rv parks

I live in the rockledge area and we have camped at several local places. If you like the beach, check out Jetty Park, it is right on the beach at Port Canaveral. If you want a wooded campsite look at Manatee Hammocks in Titusville. It is right on the Indian River, very peaceful. Another big park in Titusville west of I75 is The Great Outdoors. This is a true RV community setting.

Good Luck and enjoy the Space Coast

Hi New Rver:
The Pompano Beach immediate Area is mostly Trailer parks with spaces available for Motor Homes. I don't think of that as camping. You should check out the county parks. In Palm Beach County John Prince Park is more open, less crowded, and more outdoorsee if you know what I mean. Also Check out Broward County Parks. There is one in the north end of the county that is open for camping but I never stayed there. I go to Markham Park, Its big and open and has full hook ups. Lion Country Safari also has a campground but you will hear the lions at night.
