Hi-heading from the Lake George region to Canada this summer. Plan on staying in Montreal,Ottawa and Quebec. Can anyone recommend any campgrounds in those areas? Thanks so much!! Ellen

Hello,

For Montreal, Camping Allouette is the place for big rigs. It is easy to find from Highway 20, near Beloeil, south of Montreal. For Ottawa, Recreation Land Campground on Rte 174, east of Ottawa is nice. We stayed there for two months in 2004 while in between houses. Owner lives next to it so it is wel kept. For Quebec City, the KOA near Highway 20 in St-Nicolat is convenient, so is Camping Valcartier, on the north shore, which is just a few years old.

Thanks so much for the info. Did get reservations at Camping Allouette and Camping Valcartier. Still waiting on Ottawa-think possibly poplar grove. Thanks again for the help!!!Ellen
