Cape May NJ best choice

Planning for first week of June and I can’t decide which park to go to. I grew up going to big timber but it’s been years since I’ve been there. What are your best picks for a 3 night stay in cape May with 2 kids? I’m leaning big timber or holly shores but I want to avoid the wal mart crowd.

We have stayed at Holly Shores and Beachcomber. Both are nice. Holly Shores has great hosts.

We always stayed at Seashore campsites but when we did it was family owned, I think it is now corporate owned so not sure what it's like, the last time we were there was well over 5 years ago.

We stayed there twice last season, Tent in July and Trailer in October. Stay was very nice, both times. August stay the pool and Lake were open (reduced capacity) and some amenities were closed where distancing was impossible, but the staff was very friendly, the facilities clean, and with the exception of the recent uptick in cost with the corp ownership, it was almost perfect.

Well that's good to hear, my folks were a seasonal there for many years but gave it up so we really have no reason to visit there anymore since I do not have to maintain it anymore and seeing we are Thousand Trails member we have 2 parks nearby to use. Good to hear it is still nice, they always seemed to improve it every year.

The Ferry is slow, crossing Deleware Bay.

you have to take the ferry which is about a 2 hour trip, or back track to Atlantic City area to go west to cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

We've stayed at Holly Shores and tall pines and I can recommend them both..
They have great facilities and personel.
We've already made reservations at holly shores for May of this year...

Be safe and healthy.
Safe travels.

You have 2 options as some have said, the ferry which is expensive and for a camper a reservation might be wise to make sure you get a spot, the other option involves driving which is a lot more then 66 miles as I am sure that is how the crow flies. As stated you have to go over the Delaware Memorial Bridge ( toll ) then get on I-95 to Route 1 (2 tolls) to get to Island resort
