Call ahead if it's the rainy season, we tried to stay there sometime last June but when we got there they were still pulling some stranded units out due to flooding. There was lots of flooding in the surrounding areas as well.
Had the same problem in Dubuque IA along the Mississippi river as well.

For another option if you want to do more of the greater St. Louis area, is to stay at Edmund Babler State Park. You'll have huge grassy sites in an absolute gorgeous setting. That's where we always stay and we lived in the St. Louis area.

Not sure how recent you are looking for but the website say it is closed for the season: Last Year's Rate: $55
Season: Apr 1 - Oct 31
I know last year I tried to book prior to April 1st and it was closed
Good luck

We stayed here in late fall this year, nice, clean & secure.but at the upper limits of what we like to spend for a campground.
took the tram to ST Louis Gateway Arch,,, sure beats trying to drive over there! ( And find parking !!!!)
Yes the nearby freight trains were a bit annoying but after a few hours barely heard them.
Did not go to the casino.

We have stayed there several times. The last time was 2013. See post #13. We are planning to attend the 2017 iRV2 International Rally in Sept 2017 at Branson, MO. It is a 2 day drive for us so the first night will be Casino Queen Camp Ground. We have never felt insecure. The outside perimeter is fenced and the Campground Security regularly patrols the grounds. We always stay in the new section due to the length of our Horizon. I have always recommended Casino Queen Campground to anyone who has asked.

Starting to plan our 2017 calendar... looking to stay there at the end of May.. Maybe over Memorial Day weekend...
Just looking to see if anything had changed over the year.. the previous post was made in 12/2015 and things can go down hill quickly... I just wanted to make sure it was as up-to-par as the previous posts suggest..
Thanks !!

Near the top of the forums under Community Forums is a forum titled iRV2 International Forums. You will find all the info there.
