Cathedral Valley?

Has anyone made it to and camped at the Cathedral Valley campground in Capitol Reef NP? Just wondering if my F350 dually 4x4 with truck camper will be ok for the drive there.

We stayed at the Fuita campground, but not Cathedral Valley. You might want to call the Ranger Station and ask them about the camping accommodations. I did not see any really useful information on the Capitol Reef website about size limits (which is what I assume you are referring to).

Size limit is not a problem. All six sites are plenty big enough. My concern is the river ford and the "unimproved" road.

Read these reviews. The park's website says to check road conditions before entering. Road DO change depending on the weather. Just have an alternative spot if conditions aren't favorable.

About 12 years ago we took our 24' class C (Born Free E450) into this CG from the west. It was very rough but we made it. Only other vehicles we saw were Jeeps and one 4WD pickup. Small CG, great views. Trip out to the East was a piece of cake compared to trip in.
