Cave City KY
We are planning to stop off at Cave City, KY, on our return home from our Florida trip. We want a pull-through site and are driving a 42-foot A-class with a Bug toad. We have found two campgrounds that look perfect. Dino RV and Cave Country RV...which one would you select and why?
Next, what is a must-see in Cave City? Will be in the area in late March of 2026.
Thanks

I haven't stayed there, so can't help you with that. Either is probably fine.
If you're in Cave City, check out Mammoth Cave National Park for sure.

Have stayed at Cave Country - 2 43' MHs w/toads - pull-thrus - smaller, quieter CG for 'old-guys' (proudly). Maneuver carefully but very doable...
Mammoth Cave tours are a must - lots of different lengths, duration, etc. A March visit may not need reservations - definitely for summer. Enjoy!

We stayed at Cave Country for an overnight in 2023. Nothing spectacular about it. Pretty quiet and the sites were level. As for whether your rig will fit, I didn’t really pay any attention to how big the sites were. I was in a 23’ class A
Dino RV park didn’t exist then.

Check out the Cracker Barrel at I-65 exit 53. Heading north I assume, turn right go down Sanders st (second light McDonald's on the right) turn left on Hubbard Ln.
Immediately ahead is the RV parking, long strip on the left
We are 64' long, we arrived at 5pm no one there very comfortable and quiet and good breakfast before heading out. In the morning another CL A was parked behind us. To leave we pulled out straight ahead to Mammoth Cave St, turned left turned right back on I-65

We went in that way because our bedroom slide is on the left, you can go in either way.
Hope it works out for you, great spot

Cave Country RV is very nice. The sites are plenty long with lots of space between sites. We've stayed there three times and recommend it. Mammoth Cave was a disappointment to us. It's very large but not spectacular. There are a lot of other caves in the area that are much prettier.

I also recommend Cave Country. Nuthin' fancy but long pull thrus. See my pics https://www.irv2.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=1100 There is a RR nearby, but I didn't find it bothersome cuz I like trains. The Cracker Barrel mentioned prior, is at the same exit you get off to go to CC. As a matter of fact, it, the McD's & Bucky BBQ is at the top of the hill above the park.

We always stayed at Cave Country - our pups loved the fenced dog area there. There's occasional train noise, but not bad at all. Dinosaur RV Park appears to be fairly new and would have interstate noise, so a wash. I don't think you could go wrong with either option.

The last time we went to Mammoth Cave, we stayed at the Jellystone park . Sites were plenty big enough for our coach and toad. The park is geared toward entertaining kids, but it wasn't disruptive and fit our needs for a large site with FHU and close to the cave.

Being Thousand Trails members, we have always stayed at the TT Park there in the area. But in Bowling Green is a KOA that is nice.
Sight-seeing in the area, the Corvette Museum and plant is on I-65, Railroad Museum, a minor league baseball team is there, but in March don't think in games yet.

There is a BBQ place on the way to the railroad museum. It has very good BBQ, worth the trip.

The Bourbon Trails is nearby:
