Any experiences anyone can share on this?

When I came in from North in Feb followed route your GPS sending you. Was not a problem. Leaving I was going South and took 17/I-526. Both routes OK. The tree warnings are closer to park. Central Park Rd, Riverland Rd, Camp Rd all have live oaks hanging over street. My 12’7” height did not brush the branches.

James Island is the ONLY place we stay in Charleston.

You may run into limitations on length of stay at JICP. Also it books well in advance for weekends. Oak Plantation and Lake Aire may be better for a longer stay. Oak Plantation rates are more than Lake Aire.
