I agree with reply from Adventurous...get a low cost membership park (there are plenty to choose from) and then an annual or 3-year membership. I can think of a lot of things to do with $2K that do not include a prepaid lifetime membership to anything. If I knew I was going to live 20 years and actively utilize C2C every year, then it might be a "break even" to getting a standard, year to year membership.
Deluxe membership does get you longer stays at a given park, and better chance of not being told space is not available when you want it. But my classic membership has worked really well for us. I particularly like being able to go online to check availability and make reservations. Much more convenient that AOR, which includes many of the same parks, but requires you to make phone reservations.

Got three days and two nights when I bought my motor home to T T. Lady showed me around and it looked good. Said I better buy now(Nov of 06), the price was going up in 07 to $7,000.00 I asked where they were all at. Gave me a book to look at, mostly were on the east coast or west coast and Texas. Asked her about what is in between? She said good luck. If you want one, try going on line and look for R V time share or something like that. Found a lady in Az. wanted to sell her's, husband died and has use for it now. Remember they are not everywhere.

Way more TT's on West coast, very few on East coast, especialy New England. I really like the C2CD membership. I always find CG's along our routes. Try their trip router and ask it to show CG's along the route.

Hi All,

All I will say is be very carefull with these membership clubs!! In 1991 I bought a Coast 2 Coast membership in NY State, it was a triple liftime membership with fixed yearly dues at my membership park of $100.00 a year. I used my park and others with little to no problems and was enjoying it! Then in 2001 the park was sold, all was still looking good at first. Then new owner tells me that he can not honer my agreement for fixed dues, so either pay the new rate $265.00 a year (no fixed rate could go up again)or move on! After some research and a few calls to Coast 2 Coast,Who said they were informed by park owner that I have not paid my dues, so I was no longer a member in good standing! So I cut my losses and left! Oh yeah before I bought into it back in 1991, since owner & wife were up in years I checked into what happens if place is sold. I found out that if place is sold since it is a membership campground it has to stay a campground and they can not make you join a different club, but I later found out 2003, that they did not have to honor original contracts as far as yearly dues went !! So again be carefull when buying and hope this info helps others not get burnt!!

We had a Coast to Coast membership when we started RVing. Homepark in Bullhead City AZ, across river from Laughlin, NV. Only used once or twice a year. Tried to get in one weekend, no sites available. Being rented out to bikers for annual Laughlin Bike Week. Guess you know what we did with our membership.
