Your photography is beautiful. How do you choose which hikes to do in your travels? Did you make reservations ahead of time for campsites or were you able to get some first come, first served sites? Thank you for sharing your trip journal!

Looks like you missed Utah Hwy 12 and hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls. I'm 72 years old and been to the top of Angles Landing twice. You should try it next time.

No, I drove highway 12 several times, but you’re right, we didn’t hike Lower Calf Creek Falls trail, although we did stop at the trailhead. I plan to get to your age by skipping Angel's Landing

All of my photography is done on my iPhone X. I do minimal editing, mostly cropping and collages.

We research hikes in advance using AllTrails.com and then we'll stop at the park visitor center or ranger station to get a ranger's input on our selections.

When we're on the move, we don’t make reservations for campsites, but we plan our trips to be “hub and spokes,” that is, we'll make a reservation in advance for several nights at a central “hub” location and the use our towed Jeep to visit nearby areas on day trips. For example, several day stay at a campground in Moab with day trips to Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Dead Horse SP.
