Colorado Ski Camping

Booked into Mammoth next week but thinking of going to Vail/Beaver Creek instead.
Weather looks ok.
No new snow for either Mammoth or Vail which is not so good but maybe better cover at Vail.
So I 15 to I 70 to River dance RV.
I shouldn't ask but anybody see any problems with this plan.

Steve you would like Tiger Run in Breckenridge CO. Close to Copper Mtn. Ski area, Breckenridge ski area and Vail Mtn. ski area. It is a great park...

Thanks Dave,
I'll make a decision on Monday evening over a quiet red at Chula Vista.
I've got 3 days min cancellation on Mammoth. With the Aussie $ at 80c I'll now make a killing if i get my deposit back. Au$ was worth 90c when I booked.

Colorado Ski Camping

We went to Mammoth on the basis there was no new snow in the forecast at Vail or Mammoth. So no point in the extra day travel to only ski groomers.
We only stayed 3 days at Mammoth cause the cover was so bad.
Went down to Oceanside RV Park and enjoyed a great 5 days of Southern Cal weather.
Going to Napa late March and plan on a Mammoth diversion on the way if there is good snow.
Interestingly we used 20 gallons of diesel in the 3 days in the Aquahot. So now I know what to expect. We kept the coach at 63 nights and 69 days.
We also met Dave and Shirley, Paul and Nancy at Chula Vista RV Park. Thanks for your hospitality guys. It was great to put faces to names of the little Signature group. I'm sure we'll be catching up again soon.

Sounds like you had a great time. The mountains in Colorado are getting some good snow right now. Time to head up to the slopes.

Yep. Back in Australia now but headed for Steamboat on 22nd Feb for a week (family of 7) then fly back to LA and pick up the Motorhome for a week to Las Vegas/South Rim. But if there is a big dump somewhere, who knows??
