Colorado wild fires

Anybody currently camping in the Estes Park area? Planning on being in that are in about 10 days and wondering what the fires are doing to the atmosphere.

Some friends were just there as vendors at the annual Wool Market and took this picture. It's been a few years since we've been up there but I think this is facing northeast.

Yep, daveshan the smoke is now drifting into South Dakota Black Hills area. A rig pulled in the next site here in Mitchell,SD, and the man said he had to take a different route out of CO because of the smoke.

I've been in Custer, Hill City, Spearfish in the past two days and am currently in Sturgis. No smoke in this part of the Black Hills.

I am in Estes Park right now and it is perfect. Heading up to Devils Tower tomorrow then to Hill city. How is it up there currently?

I left that area Tuesday morning and things were fine. Now in Hardin MT until Saturday, then heading for Cody. From there it depends on the smoke and heat. Was heading for Glacier on the east side but heard the sun road was closed due to snow and also talked to a few folks who had problems with the natives.

I have no idea what it is doing to the atmosphere, but the air quality is somewhat lessened in areas near the fire.

I am camped out in Peyton at my cousin's and the winds change directions every hour. Hwy 24 is closed, evacuations for Manitou, Green Mtn. Falls, and on and on from the uncontrollable terrible fires burning.

All time record high heat and these fires are just terrible here. Lots of prayers for all the workers and the folks evacuated from their homes.
