Columbus week plans in jeopardy ALMOST

Was setting here at home and the local Buffalo NY tv station was talking about the 300+ reserve personnel that were sent home from the Niagara Falls ARB due to the government shutdown. Well we're leaving this Friday for a week in New England, and were planning on staying at the military campground on Westover ARB. After hearing the news article on TV I could just see me jumping out my [moderator edit] to try and find a campsite in New England over Columbus weekend at the peak of their fall foliage season!!!! Called Westover this morning and their Family Camp is still open!

Famcamps are run from MWR non-appropriated funds, controlled by each base commander. They should all be open, but at the discretion of said local commander. As you said, call ahead.
