Crazy national forest site designations

We are going to a NC National Forest campground and passed on our first week choice as the only site available was listed as accessible with a note asking not to book if you weren't handicapped unless it was the only available site.
No problem and moved on to the next week. There were several spots available that week but while choosing one I noticed that all the sites in the campground were tagged as accessible.
The only thing I can figure is that since the CG is dead flat with no curbs at the facilities they met the criteria. All the sites have gravel drives except one. Who knew?

What campground are you talking about?

Call the forest # for that campground and ask.

Are they tagged as accessible or do they only have an 'A' which would mean 'available'.

They are available and marked as accessible with the note when they are available.
I don't mention CGs names anymore. It causes no room at the inn next time I want to go.

My wife is handicapped. The accessible site most times will have concrete pad that lets a handicapped person not have to use a wheelchair or walker on gravel. The table will also be on concrete.
