Day trip RV parking near Niagara Falls

We're making a trip this summer that goes near Niagara Falls, so we thought we'd take the slight detour and make a day trip out of it. But we would need a place to park our 40' MH with our 2 dogs in it -- therefore probably running the generator -- for a couple hours during the day. Depending on how close it is to the park and what the transportation situation looks like, we may or may not leave the toad (an F150) hooked up.

What options do we have? I know about lot 3 at the state park. But I'd prefer to have more than one option since this would be on a Saturday and I want to hedge against that lot filling up.

There's an Android app (don't know if it's iOS also) called Overnight RV Parking that you can download from the Google Play Store that identifies overnight RV Parking locations that could be of use to you. You'll likely have to call the locations to verify you can park there, but might be worth a shot.

I would've expected that places which allow overnight parking would want to kick you out during the day when they are open and actually need the parking spaces.

I had to do a stop off near Chicago and park my motorhome and car for a few hours.
I called the police department of the suburb of Chicago
Asked then where I could safely park without breaking local laws.
Most shopping centers there have no parking for RVs day or night.
They told me to bring it there and they will watch it for me.
So I did.
