Denver RV Parks

Going to be in the Denver/Golden Colorado area in late July. Looking for a nice RV Park with 50 amp full hookup sites for a 42 foot motorhome towing. Thanks.

We've stayed in Golden right on the creek (run by the city), which is nice, but it's hard to get in. Small number of sites.

Couldn't get in for this years trip though as we've got to be there for two specific weeks. We booked this year the bulk at Bear Creek Lake Park (Morrison, just near Lakewood), haven't been there before so can't say how good it is. We do also have a couple days booked at Dakota Ridge (Golden). Dakota's 50 amps, but don't remember what Bear Creek is. I don't have my trip book handy which has all the details in it.

Dakota Ridge is good if you need to be in the Golden area. Chatfield state park is about 15-20 miles south of Golden on C-470, also a nice place to stay, They do have some 50 amp sites in the newer sections.

We stayed at Bear Creek Lake park in 2015 for a few nights and enjoyed it. It's on the west side of the Denver area. In addition to Chatfield on the southwest side there is also Cherry Creek on the east side.

Options;

Jefferson County Fair Complex RV Park

Central City, Colorado Campground | Denver West / Central City KOA

Not really a lot of choices - Best, IMHO, is Clear Creek but almost impossible to get in now - Easy but not fancy is Jeffco - yes they do have a few 50 amp sites - all depends on your Mission.

Best of Luck

Stayed at Dakota in January.
Nice place except got the impact wrench and sawzall on the rig next door for 2 days.
And don't plan on putting our a fenced kennel for your dogs or God forbid have them off the leash for 15 seconds.
CW is just down the street if you only need 1 night
