Denver to Grand lake in a class A

Leaving Denver east KOA and driving into grand lake to stay at winding river resort. Curious if 70 to 40 to 34 is ok for a class A with a jeep toad. 40 looks a little curvy with some switch backs and trying to figure out if it's ok to travel on to get into grand lake.

Any advice about things to do in Grand Lake are welcome too!!! Looking forward to it!

You will be fine taking that route. Once there be sure to take your jeep into the park. Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mtn National Park is a beautiful drive. Watch for people stopping in the middle of the road when they see a critter.

Some people talk about Berthoud Pass - - but it is only an issue in the Snow.

The rest of the drive is fine - Trail Ridge is fine - but if Berthoud Pass is an issue just stay on I-70 to Silverthorne and take RT 9 to Kremmling.

Both routes are fine in your rig, might suggest going in on one and back out on the other - then you will be able to help people when they ask the question, the only issue with Berthoud Pass is Snow and even then it is well plowed, just not where I like to be In My Rig.

When you get to Grand Lake just ask the Locals for Guidance - everyone has a favorite ride or hike they love to share.

Best of Luck,
