Destin FL area

I have reservations at Top Sail State park in the Destin FL area in mid March for about 2 weeks. I would like to find another nice RV park around that area on or close to beach for the last few days of March in to April. Any suggestions. Thanks

Destin FL area

We are returning to Emerald Coast Beach RV resort. It is in Panama City Beach FL. You will not be disappointed. 3/4 miles north of beach. Clean as a whistle.

This was a few years back, probably 1989 0r 1990. We ended up in the Destin area for the first time and on a rainy day found Emerald Cost RV Park and stayed for a couple of weeks. Met the owners and they told us about their future plans to expand and built more sites and a road down to the beach. The State of Florida had other plans and it is now Top Sail Sate Park. So as I understand they moved to Panama City and the new Emerald Coast RV park was opened. I have not thought about in some time, thanks for reminding me and I am going to look in to staying there for a while.

I have personally stayed at Emerald Coast Beach. Incredibly organized, great for big rigs and super dog friendly. They have a dog park and an outside dog wash area as well as dog log bins with plastic bag dispensers throughout. The people are also extremely professional and friendly.

I have also stayed at Camp Gulf in Destin. Right on the Gulf!

Can't go wrong with either one.

My favorite in the area is St. Joseph Peninsula St. Park. Miles and miles of pristine beaches.

Caution - watch out for hoards of spring breakers in March, especially around Panama City Beach. I hear things can get pretty wild there.

Camp Gulf about 4 miles West of Topsail on Hwy. 98 toward Destin. Some sites on the beach. Better get reservations now, if you can, mid March to mid April is spring break time. Lots of families , lots of kids.

Destin West RV Resort is very nice. Across the beach from the Westin Resort. Owner owns both, thus you have access to there beach paraphernalia. Nice views of the inland water on the back side; heated pool. Fire pit and smokes. We enjoyed our two weeks there. TopSail is the best though for beauty, nature trails, and beach.
