X2 in the reservation system. And once you get through to a human, they couldn’t be nicer while, at the same time, being so unhelpful.

Yep, the only approach that seems to work is to cobble it together on your own. They do have a pretty good capability on the web site for linking reservations together once you have them made. And the person I talked to assured me that we will be able to stay in the same spot, once parked, for all reservations.

Tropical Palms, right on 192, straight shot to Disney, would be another possibility, but like others, I strongly suggest you not give up on the Fort, keep trying.

Fort Wilderness is a destination on its own and would be worth a visit even if the theme parks didn't exist. Staying at the Fort also comes with all the same benefits of staying at any of their other resorts. Examples, you can visit any and all of their other resort properties, parking is free, vs $20 or more per day and early entry into one of the parks each day.

We stayed at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake in Orlando. Overall OK, not 5 star, but under $30.00 per night, full hookups, and 27 minute drive to Disneyworld.

We used the same "just keep checking" approach to knit together a whole week.

If you just can't get in, you can't beat Bill Frederick for low cost, right-in-Orlando camping. It's a half hour drive to Disney, but less than 15 to Universal. And incredibly cheap (don't let that scare you).

By the way, once you “cobble together” the full time you want to stay, Call the reservation line and ask them to combine the reservations into a single one.
