Dry camp places outside Durango, CO

Howdy, I'm interested in dry camping in the San Juan NF outside of Durango. Access to OHV places would be a plus. I have a 30' toyhauler. I don't need to know your favorite spot, I'm sure there's plenty lol, just a few ideas to get me started. July 1-11 I've been on the SJNF web page and looked at maps and stuff but it doesn't mean much lol

Do you mean dry camping as in a forest service campground or boondocking?

I'd recommend boondocking in Silverton. We loved the spots along South Mineral Creek. Silverton has an awesome parade/fireworks celebration for the holiday. There are other good areas in Silverton.

You're looking for the July 4 holiday so any place is going to be crowded.
