Easy on-off from I-95 between Richmond and Orlando

Picking my new Airstream up next week and plan to be driving home from the Richmond area starting sometime in the afternoon on Saturday the 8th. Its an 800 mile ride which is doable if I wait till Sunday morning to leave, but I'd prefer to break it up over Sat/Sun. Looking for something about at the halfway point I can make a reservation that's close to I-95. Prefer something with pull-thrus as I'll have already had a long day and just want to plug in and relax overnight.

Suggestions welcome.

Also, not interested in the Walmart/Crackerbarrel alternative. I'm fine with paying for a site.

Palmetto Shores RV Resort
5215 Dingle Pond Rd, Summerton, SC 29148
Exit 102, I-95

It's about 375 miles from north Richmond (Americamp RV)

While I have not stayed at Palmetto Shores (Yet), I do have an overnight there later this summer. it appears to be an easy on and off I-95.

If you want a little shorter run Saturday, we have used Pedro's South of the Border RV park (about 275 miles from North Richmond) when we make our yearly trips from NE FL to north Richmond (Americamp RV). Pedro's is also easy off - on to I-95 at the NC - SC border (and they're a lot cheaper than Palmetto Shores.

Both have 30/50amp FHU pull-thru sites.

PS - Congratulations on your new Airstream. Safe Travels.

Get on a trip planner such as rvtripwizard.com and find answers for what you are looking for.

Camp lake jasper in Hardeeville SC is my usual stop. I’m coming from a little further west than Orlando.

There is a KOA with pull-through sites right at the I-95 and US 17 split at Yamassee SC. Stayed there a few years ago for an overnight er. Should be pretty close to 1/2 way.

Camp Pedro is good and cheap. Everyone needs to go South of the Border sometime.

Savannah South KOA is easy on and easy off.
Nice place, rates were low Christmas week.
It’s about 1/2 to Orlando.
Look at my video on YouTube from December 2021.

If you're not leaving the Richmond area until afternoon, there's this https://fayettevillervresort.com/ about 200 miles south in Wade, NC. Very easy off/on I-95. Easy online reservations system and plenty of pull-through sites. We've stayed there many times on our way south from a little north of Richmond as it's an easy first day after the final pack-up in the morning.

Enjoy the new Airstream. Wishing you many miles of safe travels with lots of wonderful memories.

Take care,
Stu

Very good answers so far. Here's another one. SC exit 102 there is a KOA with a great restaurant next door. It's The Lake House and is right on the lake with dining, reservations, and full service at the bar.
The Savannah South KOA is also a good choice, with several restaurants between it and I95.
Fill up in SC regardless, the days of cheap gas or fuel in GA are gone.

Lumberton KOA or Jacksonville North, depending on how far you want to drive on the first leg. Coastal GA Resort is also nice and close to 95.

I have not been there in a couple of years but Jolly Acres in St George SC just south of I-26 at Hyw 78 Easy in and out full hook-ups. 6 miles or less off the interstate good fuel stop as well several restaurants that are easy in & out as well. Great transition spot

We've stayed there a few times... easy off/on the interstate. They make pizza in the office for an easy evening meal and have wine tasting. Pull thru's are in the rear part of the park.

I use New Green Acres in Walterboro SC. Nothing fancy - but easy level pull thrus. I have a C pulling a car and a plus for me is the gas station at the main road turn off that has good space for getting in and out.
