Elkhart Campground is pretty decent. It's an older CG but they upgraded the hookups last year. The staff was really nice & helpful with things to do in the area. It's also easy to maneuver a MH & toad in this CG.

There are 2 KOA's one on either side of Elkhardt. I stayed at the Elkhardt/Middlebury KOA just east. I was a nice CG and could handle large rigs.

We stayed there last year. It IS a really nice CG! Also close to Amish stores & Shipshawana (bad spelling, but close enough).

If you plan on going last week in July make sure you have reservation as Newmar Kountry Klub is having their rally in the area August 1-8 2009. Goshen Fairgrounds, so a few days before area CG may be full.

There was a HR rally there last summer when we were at Elkhart CG and there was plenty of space left for everyone else. They have a lot of spaces. I would definitely go there again. You will enjoy the shopping in RV Outlet and all the other stores in that area. Shipshewana is not very far away. There are also a couple of CGs in Shipshewana that are nice. Shipshewana has a huge flea market on Wed. & Thur. (I think those are the days) and also a horse auction that is fun to go to even if you don't want a horse. We also like Das Essen Haus for at least one meal and loading up on other edibles. There are some good cheese factories also. Since the Amish don't use electricity for refrigeration of their milk it is sold for use in cheese and they make some good cheeses.
